An iMessage video ad shows a short text conversation on an iPhone screen. The messages type in one by one, the product shows up in the thread, and an end card closes the video.
We taught Claude to make one in a single pass with a skill. It builds the whole video: the iPhone frame, sound effects, music and the end card.
Why it is cheap
The video is HTML. Claude does not call a video generation model, so there is no per-clip generation cost. You pay for the agent's work and for the optional music or voice pieces.
What the skill builds
- An iPhone frame with a chat thread
- Message bubbles that appear on a timed sequence
- Sound effects for sent and received messages
- A music bed
- An end card with your logo and offer
How to make one
- Install the skills and log in:
npx gooseworks install --all
npx gooseworks login- Ask for the format:
/goose-video make an iMessage ad for my brand- Answer one question: what is the ad for? A launch, a sale, an explanation of how the product works. Your answer becomes the brief for the script.
- Review the script. The agent shows it to you before it builds anything.
- Say go. The video is made on your computer and saved to your GooseWorks project.
Write a better thread
The script matters more than the animation. A few guidelines:
- Use two people. One asks, one answers or reacts.
- Keep each message under two lines.
- Let the product appear as a reply to a real question.
- End on the offer, then cut to the end card.
What you need on your computer
Phone-screen formats need ffmpeg, Node 18 or newer and Playwright's Chromium browser. Run npx gooseworks doctor to check all of them. It prints the fix for anything missing.
